Thank you for this opportunity. I have heard such nice things about your church.  I married George W. Davis in 1975.  We had a wonderful life in East Texas and then in Fredericksburg.  Unfortunately for me, God called George home in 2014.

George was treasurer at Westminister while Chuck Somervill was there as pastor.  At that time, George was married to Sophie.  I am hoping you have a record with her name on it, other than "Sophie B."  I need her maiden name for some records and all I can find is Sophie B.  Nobody remembers anything else, even in the family.  If you can help, I would appreciate it.

George eventually was reunited with Chuck through a friend of mine in The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.  What a surprise that was when I called and then handed the phone to George.  Linda and I heard both of them holler!  Our session in Cleveland, Texas asked George to attend the Lay Academy in Houston so he could preach for our stated supply once a month.  He did and the week he was commissioned Dr. Snipes had a stroke and was never able to return to the pulpit.  They called George and said, "The church is yours' now."  He was the pastor for ten years.  When we moved to Fredericksburg, we joined Memorial Presbyterian.  That is where I still go each week.  It's a small church but a friendly and active one.

My grandfather and father were Presbyterian pastors in Shreveport, LA.  I've always said when asked how I became Presbyterian that I didn't know I had a choice!!

Take care.  I hope I hear from you.  Catherine Davis

I am trying to locate Rev. Frank Wl Sherman.   We were friends in our high school days, and members of the Order of DeMolay.   Last year, we lost a friend in common, Robert W. George.

I have been trying to make contact with Rev. Sherman for a couple of days.   The phone # in our high school alumni directory is out of service, and WhitePages.com has not worked for me.

I have tried through your church, and have left a voicemail.  I also contacted the National HQ for the Presbyterian Church, without avail.

Any information. on him will be most appreciated.  I thank you in advance.
